Template Name - Device Restrictions

Configuration Settings -
Select - Reporting and Telemetry -
Share usage data - Select Basic as the minimum
Next


Assignments -
Included Groups - Select Add Groups


Search for and select the appropriate group(s)
I am selecting the autopilot device group and the Corporate Windows 10 groups
Click - Select


Assignments will update

Create three groups
AAD_Sec_WindowsUpdates_Ring0_Pilot
AAD_Sec_WindowsUpdates_Ring1_Broad
AAD_Sec_WindowsUpdates_Ring2_BusinessCritical

Create three Windows Updates Rings
Ring 0 - Pilot
Ring 1 - Broad
Ring 0 - Business Critical

Create the Windows Update Ring
Endpoint Manager - Devices - Windows Update Rings -


Create Profile


Name - Windows Update Ring 0 - Pilot
Description - Users and devices in this group are pilot testers for Windows Updates


Update Ring settings -
As this is the Pilot Ring - on the Servicing Channel - Select - Windows Insider - Release Preview


Update Ring settings -




Assignments -
As this is the Pilot Ring, I have assigned the group - AAD_Sec_WindowsUpdates_Ring0_Pilot


Review and Create -
Create


For testing, don't forget to add Pilot users and their device to the group being targeted.

My users for testing are -
feature.pilot

feature.critical

And they will be come members of the appropriate group
